Nathan Cliff

Physiotherapist

Nathan graduated in 1998 and has a wealth of experience, having spent 7 years as the Senior Physiotherapist for the London Met Police. His return to Perth in 2009 saw him hired as the Senior Physiotherapist at Belridge Physiotherapy, in addition to this he was also working on various mine sites as a Musculoskeletal Physio in combination with Occupational Health.

Nathan has been a partner at Belridge Physiotherapy since 2010. He has a strong sporting background, having played semi-professional soccer and for WA in U19s. He had a successful career in Surf Lifesaving, including State titles in beach sprints. His experience is broad in all areas of Physiotherapy, with knee injuries, spinal issues and rehabilitation being a particular specialty.

Nathan works closely with many orthopaedic surgeons but especially Prof Dan Fick at The Joint Studio particularly for total and partial knee replacements. Nathan is the proud owner of a pair of partial knee replacements which allowed him to go through the journey of having knee joint replacements, being the prehabilitation, education and rehabilitation having experienced it all himself first hand. You don’t get better then that!

He also works very closely with Mr Tao Shan Lim at Joondalup Orthopaedic Group whose specialty is hip, knee and shoulder arthroscopes, labral repairs, meniscal repairs and ACL reconstruction.

When not being a physio Nathan is busy chasing around his 2 primary school aged children on the beach, surfing and snorkelling with them in the summer and coaching junior soccer through the winter months.

Michelle Ruvinoski

Physiotherapist

Michelle has both a BSc in Physiotherapy and a BSc in Exercise and Sport Science (ESSA Accreditation).

Michelle has taken on extra training in Women’s Health, particularly pelvic floor and continence issues as well as Real Time Ultrasound Imaging. She has a keen interest in exercise prescription pre and post-partum and educating women on strategies to keep their bodies feeling good throughout all stages of their lives.

Michelle has worked with a variety of sporting teams including WAFL and Football West soccer teams, as well as participating in netball and swimming at competitive levels.

Michelle loves to guide patients on their journey of rehabilitation to achieve their goals, return to pain free function and work on injury prevention, strength and mobility.

In addition to taking her patients through individual physiotherapy and rehabilitation Michelle also runs the onsite functional rehabilitation and Pilates small group sessions.

Matthew Kerslake

Physiotherapist

Matthew graduated from Curtin University in 2011, and has over 10 years’ experience in private practice Physiotherapy.

Matt has completed extra training in the treatment and management of vestibular conditions, such as vertigo. He understands how debilitating vertigo can be and makes it a priority to treat is as quickly and effectively as possible. He believes an understanding of the condition is paramount to managing it correctly. Matt knows how awful vertigo can be and is always happy to fit a patient with vertigo in, even if it means staying late.

Matt treats all sorts of musculoskeletal injuries, and aside from vertigo, has a special interest in treating headaches and migraines, issues related to the neck, sports injuries, and issues related to aging and balance. He prefers to determine the underlying cause of any problem and address it at its source, taking the time to work with his patients on understanding the issue, and coming up with a plan of action.

Matthew also has a passion for working with younger patients living with autism spectrum disorder, general anxiety, Asperger’s, ADHD, and other common issues facing our younger generation. Matt finds it very rewarding to build a rapport with these patients, as he knows the importance of trust and comfort between therapist and patient.

Outside of Physiotherapy, Matt is a big fan of AFL (West Coast), the Premier League (Liverpool), and many other sports, and is also a passionate fan of video games and nerd culture, going so far as to have been ranked in WA for Super Smash Bros Ultimate

Connor Lynch

Physiotherapist

Connor graduated from Curtin Univeristy on 2017 and has been working at Belridge Physiotherapy since 2018.

Prior to working at Belridge Physiotherapy, Connor was the Head Physiotherapist of the Under 21’s Men WA State Hockey Team for their 2018 National Championship in Sydney. Connor loves all things sport and has particular interest in rehab of soccer, AFL netball and basketball injuries.

One of Connor’s interests is treating patients who have acute or chronic low back and neck pain. He utilises a combination of hands on therapy and emphasises the benefits of mobility strength programs to get long term results.

Connor has a wealth of experience in rehabilitating Total Knee and Total Hip Replacements. He has lead over 300 hydrotherapy sessions facilitating the pre and post-operative stages of these surgeries.

Connor works with patients being treated under Worker’s Compensation Claims, Motor Vehicle Accident Claims and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs.

Ilana Cohen

Physiotherapist

Ilana Cohen completed her Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy in 2009. She has experience working as a Physiotherapist in Malta, Melbourne, Perth, Galway and London.

She has an interest in the rehabilitation of joint, tendon and muscle injuries with the view to returning the client to sport, work or exercise as quickly as possible. Ilana provides the client with a hands-on approach to treatment, incorporating dry needling, acupuncture, soft tissue therapy, stretching and joint mobilisations.

Ilana has completed further training in Acupuncture and Clinical Pilates, Groin and Hip Injury Management for Athletes, Strength and Conditioning, Chronic Pain Management and. She strives to incorporate these techniques and the latest evidence-based practice as part of a holistic individualised treatment.

Ilana has a keen interest in gym work and weights programs as part of rehabilitation from injury and as part of living a healthy active lifestyle. She has experience working with the professional football team Galway United, in Ireland and Malta Rugby League, providing in season rehabilitation, pitch-side injury management and taping. Outside of Physiotherapy, Ilana enjoys travelling, going swimming and taking her toddler to the beach and the park.

Denise

Practice Manager

Denise has been the practice manager of Belridge Physio since 2008 and since starting she has been an integral cog in the operations of the practice. Our patients always appreciate her warm welcome, accommodating nature and larger than life laugh. She is the heart of the clinic and we can’t imagine Belridge Physio without her!
